Our Pastor

Pastor James Page, Jr.

I'm a native of Loudoun County, Virginia, where I graduated from Loudoun Valley High School in Purcellville. For 28 wonderful years, I've been married to my wife, Trish, and we have two children: James III (Trey) and Sarah. Our family also includes our beloved 7-year-old "grand-dog," Harlow.

My journey into pastoral ministry began in 2008, following years of service as a Lay Speaker. I was appointed to John Mann United Methodist Church in Winchester, where I found a small but determined congregation. Together, we developed meaningful ministries that continue to serve the Winchester community today. During this time, I balanced full-time work with completing my theological education at Duke Divinity School in Durham, North Carolina, attending classes on weekends.

In 2014, I received my appointment to Galloway UMC in Falls Church, a historic African American church serving a community experiencing significant demographic change. My mission there focused on preaching and helping the congregation grow alongside its evolving cultural landscape. This calling required extensive training in various areas to help the church navigate our changing times effectively.

Throughout my ministry, I've been actively involved in District training teams and have served at the conference level. Currently, I serve as Chaplain for the Falls Church Police Department and as a mentor in the Fairfax County School District—both roles I'm committed to continuing. I've also had the privilege of working closely with the Bishops of the Virginia Annual Conference on creating Beloved Communities.

My family and I are thrilled to return my ministry to Loudoun County, where it all began. I'm eager to partner with the members of the Mount Zion-Willisville Chapel Cooperative Parish to share "the good news" throughout our community and make disciples of Jesus Christ.
