Pastor James Page
I grew up in Loudon County, VA graduating from Loudon Valley HS in Purcellville, VA. I’ve been married to my wife Trish for 26 years and we have 2 children, James III (Trey) and Sarah. We also have a 5-year-old grand-dog, Harlow.
After many years as a Lay Speaker, I embarked on pastoral ministry in 2008 appointed to John Mann UMC in Winchester. John Mann at the time was a small struggling congregation. We worked together to bring great ministries to the Winchester area and some of those ministries are still working today.
While pastoring at John Mann I worked a full-time job and completed my theological training a Duke Divinity School in Durham NC on weekends.
In 2014 I was appointed to the Galloway UMC in Falls Church. Galloway is a historic black church in a changing demographics area. My mission was to preach and to help the church grow with its changing culture. For that to happen I had to spend many hours on different types of training to help the church adjust to the changing times that we are living in. I have been and, in some cases, still working on District training teams along with some on the conference level.
I’m currently the Chaplain of the Falls Church Police Department. I’m also a mentor in the Fairfax County School District, both ministries I plan to continue serving.
I also worked closely with Bishop Lewis on her initiative on Race and Relations, now under Bishop Sue’s leadership that initiative remains an active part of the Virginia Annual Conference.
My family and I are excited to bring my ministry back to Loudon County. I’m eager to continue my ministry back where it all started. Together with the members of the Mount Zion-Willisville Chapel Cooperative Parish, we can bring, “the good news” to the community to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
I am here to serve these congregations and the communities around them. I’m a hands-on Pastor always ready to work with you and beside you as we embark on this new pathway together.
